Located in an enviable position 100 metres from the golden sands of Perranporth's beach, and moments from the shops and restaurants, Lowenek House is a spacious, comfortable family period house to sleep eight.
The front door is set back from the main road and opens into a spacious entrance hall in which to hang coats and leave shoes. Entering into this 1930's house, doors lead off a roomy hallway into a kitchen, dining room, and sitting room. The kitchen is fully equipped with electric oven and hob, fridge freezer and dishwasher. A breakfast table seats four in front of patio doors which open out into the small enclosed garden where there is space to sit out in the sun, hang wetsuits or store bikes. There's also an outside shower to rinse the sand off after a day on the beach!
The separate dining room has a large table and seating for eight, a piano and comfy armchair, and a bookcase containing books and games. The sitting room is furnished with a large corner sofa and matching stool (to seat 8), has an open fire, and a wall mounted Smart TV with Netflix.
Upstairs, doors to the bedrooms lead off a beautifully large and light landing which, along with the rest of the first and second floors, have recently been completely re-carpeted. Bedroom one has a king sized bed, wardrobes and chest of drawers and a large bay window. Bedroom two is furnished with twin beds, wardrobe and storage and has a wash hand basin. Bedroom three has bunkbeds, wardrobe and storage, and a wash hand basin. Also on this floor is the tiled bathroom with small bath, electric shower over the bath, WC and basin. In addition there is a separate WC and basin. A balcony room on this floor is kept locked for safety reasons.
A further staircase leads up to the top floor where there is a sitting room with two sofas and a TV (on which to play DVDs and games only). Large windows look out across Perranporth and to the fields beyond. This room leads into bedroom four which has a double bed and is built under the eaves of the house and so has a vaulted ceiling. A clothes hanging rail and small chest of drawers are provided. Also on this floor is a storage room which is kept locked.
A back door from the kitchen leads to the utility room where the washing machine and tumble dryer are kept. A separate WC is located off the utility room. A parking space for one car is at the back of the house; entrance to the house can then be gained through the garden gate and in through the back door or kitchen patio doors. A pay and display car park is two minutes' walk away if additional parking is needed. There is oil central heating for the cooler days and an open fire in the sitting room. The other fireplaces in the property are not in use.
Perranporth is a beautiful and bustling large village with several shops, pubs, restaurants and cafes. A small supermarket is opposite the house, and the three-mile long beach is just around the corner, less than two minutes' walk. Within easy walking distance is the boating lake, children's play park, tennis courts, bowls, golf and of course surfing. Less than five minutes' drive gives you access to horse riding, and parachuting from the local airfield.
The cathedral city of Truro and stunning beaches of Newquay are both only nine miles away and a variety of Cornwall's best tourist attractions, including the Eden Project, Dairyland, and National Trust properties and gardens can all be found within a short drive. If you enjoy walking the stunning Cornish coastline, then The South West coast path can be joined at the top of the cliff overlooking Perranporth beach, with spectacular walks to Holywell Bay, or St Agnes, and beyond.
