Located in a peaceful part of Perranporth within an historic old building, The Retreat is a cosy get-away for two (plus a small four legged friend!), less than ten minutes' walk to Perranporth's shops, restaurants, bars, and spectacular three-mile sandy beach.
Entry to the apartment is through the main entrance into a communal hall featuring original stained glass windows, tiled floor, and wide carpeted stairs (up two flights). The door to Flat 4 opens onto a small hallway with space for coats and shoes, and which leads on to the rest of this comfortable first floor apartment.
The open plan kitchen and sitting room is furnished with a corner sofa, large storage unit, 49? wall-mounted Smart TV and DVD player and a small dining table and chairs. High ceilings and large windows make the sitting room light and bright. A very compact kitchen area is fitted with an electric oven and hob, microwave, large fridge/freezer and washer/dryer.
The bedroom, with wood style panelling and countryside views, is furnished with a king sized bed (5'), bedside tables and lamps, and a built-in wardrobe. The tiled bathroom provides a shower over the bath, toilet and basin.
The apartment is heated via a night storage heater in the sitting room and a wall-mounted heater in the bedroom. An additional portable electric heater is available within the apartment if needed. Outside, there is parking for one car, communal outdoor washing lines, and a patio with garden furniture is shared with the other flats in the building.
Perfect for a couple looking for a beach break, but with the benefits of a quiet countryside location, The Retreat provides a restful get away with both rural and coastal walks nearby.
Perranporth is a lively seaside community offering surfing, kite surfing, golf, horse-riding, tennis, bowling and gliding. The towering cliffs above the beach provide spectacular natural scenery, and the South West Coast Path has stunning walks either north to Newquay or south to St Agnes.
The cathedral city of Truro is only eight miles away and many attractions and places of interest such as the Eden Project, National Trust properties and gardens, St Ives, Falmouth and Padstow are all easily accessible by car. A regular bus service from Perranporth runs to Truro and Newquay, and the mainline rail station in Truro is only a 15-minute cab ride away.
