Warwick Lodge

Property Description

A lovely spacious detached house, Warwick Lodge enjoys fantastic views across Perranporth from its elevated position, and beach and sea views from the first floor double bedroom and decked balcony. Just five minutes' walk downhill to the beach, shops and cafes (10 minutes' walk back up!), Warwick Lodge is ideally located for family seaside holidays.

Light and spacious rooms make the most of the views in this 4 star Visit England rated house. A decked area at the rear of the house is furnished with garden tables and chairs as is the upstairs balcony, to be able to take in the fresh air and stunning views, perhaps whilst enjoying an al fresco lunch or evening cocktail as the sun sets over the sea.

Entry is via a roomy hallway, and the interior of the house is comfortable and stylish, with new carpets fitted throughout in 2019. Offering two ground floor bedrooms, the first has a triple bunk (a double bed below with a single bed above it), and the second bedroom is a twin room (3' each). The open plan lounge/diner and kitchen is large, light and modern with two sets of patio doors leading to the rear decking and enclosed lawned garden. A family dining table seats eight, and the fully equipped, fitted kitchen comprises an electric oven and hob, microwave, large toaster, coffee machine, fridge/freezer and dishwasher.

The lounge is comfortably furnished with sofas and armchairs, a 55" 4G HD TV and DVD player, and benefits from a cosy log burner in addition to the oil central heating throughout the house. The main bathroom is also on this floor with a shower over the bath, WC and basin.

Stairs from the lounge lead up to a further two bedrooms and shower room with shower cubicle, WC and basin. Bedroom three is furnished with a king size bed (5'), fitted wardrobes and French doors which open to the decked balcony and those beautiful sea views. Bedroom four has two single beds (3' each) and bedroom furniture. The property benefits from Ultrafast broadband connection and has parking at the front of the property for two or three cars.

Perranporth is a small but vibrant seaside resort with surfing, horse riding, tennis, golf and outdoor bowls all within the local vicinity. It is also a great location on the north coast with easy access to many places of interest and tourist attractions such as The Eden Project, National Trust sub-tropical gardens, St Ives and Padstow. Only nine miles from the train station in Truro's cathedral city with direct links to London, and 13 miles from Newquay airport.

We booked the house for a family holiday, 3 families and 3 generations. When we walked in we all said WOW at how big and spacious the living space was, then walked upstairs to the balcony where it was an even bigger WOW when we saw the view of the beach. The house was well equipped which made it easy to cater for eight, things like plenty of really big saucepans and loads of plates, glasses etc. Perranporth was a good base, surf lessons for the 20 year old, body boarding for the less sporty, cream teas for the over 50's and amazing ice cream shops enjoyed by everyone! We also spent some days out and about exploring other areas of Cornwall.
