What’s on this October half term in Cornwall

Wrap up and head out onto the coast path, exploring the rugged cliff tops. From Perranporth head south to St Agnes and take in the breath-taking seascapes, invigorating sea air, and the burnt amber and deep greens of the changing flora underfoot. Best of all you’ll find a warm welcome at the Driftwood Spars, the local village inn, where hearty Cornish food is on the menu and local ales on tap.

Head south to Holywell Bay, where you’ll find far-reaching views of turquoise seas, sweeping expanses of sandy beach and miles of magnificent, grass tufted and unspoilt sand dunes. See more of our favourite coastal walks here.

Get your wellies ready at low tide and walk the three miles of Perranporth’s sandy beach, discovering craggy coves, mermaid pools and the magnificent dunes. Make sure you check the tide times before you go. Stop off at the Watering Hole, the UK’s only pub on the beach, for tea and cake, or a refreshing Cornish cyder!

Celebrate Halloweden at The Eden Project
This year, the iconic landmark is offering fascinating Halloween trails exploring all the superstitions and traditions of the season, plus storytelling, workshops and a spooky ice rink!

Go pumpkin picking at Trevaskis Farm

Stroll around the farm shop, full of organic, artisan and homegrown goods, plus lots of locally sourced treats and fruit and veg from the farm itself. Relax in the farm restaurant, which serves breakfast, lunches and find the most delicious homemade cakes.

See a show at the incredible Minack Theatre
With the ocean as your backdrop, it’s a theatre like no other! This October half term see the legends of the Tudors come to life with Horrible Histories, Terrible Tudors or singalong with Moana Jr, as the adventures of the Disney favourite and her village come to life! Top tip, wrap up warm and take a blanket or two.

See spectacular fireworks at Lappa Valley
There’s so much to see and do at Lappa Valley; ride the steam train around the woodland railway,  play a round of crazy golf, jump on the trampolines, hop on a pedalo swan and bob about the boating lake, and go crazy in the outdoor adventure play and indoor soft play. Fuel up after all that in the Engine Shed, their family friendly café serving hot food and drinks. If that’s not enough, marvel at the dazzling display of fireworks this half term!
