Property Description

A bright and spacious apartment with spectacular panoramic views out across the Atlantic Ocean, Droskyn Castle 9 is located within an impressive and imposing building - formerly a majestic Edwardian hotel - built high on the cliffs overlooking Perranporth beach and the sea.  


Six steps lead down from the parking area to a patio that number 9 shares with number 10, and to the front door of this first floor apartment. The entrance hall is well proportioned and leads into the light and spacious bedroom which is furnished with a king size bed (5') and a very large built in wardrobe. Large windows look out across the sea and down the three mile length of Perranporth beach, providing some of the best views in the village. Imagine waking up and looking out to that incredible view and the ever changing colours of the sea, from the comfort of your bed! 


The living room also enjoys the same magnificent coastal views from two lovely big sash windows which let in lots of light. A 3-seater and a 2-seater sofa are arranged to make the most of the views and a second 2-seater sofa converts to a sofa bed suitable for one guest or two young children. There is a 40” TV and the dresser contains jigsaws, games and books, to keep the family entertained.  


A large dining table and six chairs offers a place to enjoy meals together (with a view!) which can be prepared in the adjoining kitchen. Fully equipped, the kitchen provides a fridge with freezer compartment, electric oven and hob, microwave, cafetière and washing machine (communal rotary washing lines can be found to the back of the apartment). A bathroom - down one small step - is fitted with a bath with a shower over it, WC and basin, and a useful understairs cupboard off the entrance hall is big enough to store surfboards in.  


Droskyn Castle 9 has been freshly repainted throughout, is heated by night storage heaters and an electric heater in the bedroom, and benefits from two car parking spaces. One parking space is behind the apartment and the other in the car park to the side of the building. One well behaved dog is welcome at the property, to be kept under control and not left on its own in the apartment.  


Please note that the property is in a quiet residential area and the owners politely ask that this be respected while you're enjoying your holiday at Droskyn Castle. The beach, shops, bars and cafés are a five-minute downhill walk from the apartment (slightly longer walking back up!).  


Perranporth is a small but vibrant seaside resort with surfing, horse riding, tennis, golf and outdoor bowls all within the local vicinity.  It is also a great location on the north coast with easy access to many places of interest and tourist attractions, and only nine miles from the train station in Truro's cathedral city, with direct links to London, and 13 miles from Newquay airport.  


Please note this property does not provide towels or tea towels. Towels can be hired from us at £6 per person (one bath towel and one hand towel), or feel free to bring your own.  


Electricity is not included in the rental price and is operated by a key meter.
