Recently redesigned, renovated, and lovingly refurbished, Fernleigh is a modern and comfortable property occupying an enviable corner plot only five minutes' level walk to Perranporth's huge sandy beach. Entrance to the house is gained either down a few steps into the garden and through the front door, or up three steps into the kitchen from the parking area at the back, where there are two car parking spaces for the main house.
The fully equipped kitchen is fitted with an electric double oven and hob, full sized fridge and freezer, microwave, dishwasher, and three bar stools at the breakfast bar. A washing machine is housed within a storage cupboard. At the other end of the room is a dining table with six chairs, and patio doors out to the enclosed garden which has both decked and lawned areas, garden furniture and a barbecue. An outside shower, quirkily fashioned from driftwood, has been fitted by the back door for rinsing off the sand after a day at the beach.
The comfortable sitting room is furnished with a corner sofa, bureau units, wood burner and TV, and the property benefits from new carpets throughout. A fully tiled downstairs shower room offers a rain shower, WC and basin on this ground floor.
Upstairs bedroom one has a king-sized bed (5'), chest of drawers and storage space. Bedroom two is furnished with twin beds (3' each), a wardrobe and chest of drawers, and bedroom three offers full sized bunk beds (3' each) and storage. All bedrooms benefit from hypo-allergenic, memory foam mattresses. The bathroom on this floor has a shower over the bath and a basin, with the WC in a separate room.
Fernleigh sleeps six but for larger groups, or alternative sleeping and living arrangements, the annex next door can also be booked. Little Fernleigh has its own entrance, private garden and parking space, and shares the outside shower, however when booked with Fernleigh, access can be opened through a fully sound-proofed and lockable door to the main house.
Perranporth is a small but bustling seaside resort on Cornwall's north coast. The three mile expanse of soft golden sand on Perranporth's beach is perfect for sandcastle building, the waves are good for surfing, and there are breathtaking views from the clifftop along the coast path. Perranporth is also a great location from which to explore the rest of Cornwall: the cathedral city of Truro and beautiful beaches of Newquay are only eight miles away, and The Eden Project, Falmouth, Padstow and St Ives are all within an easy 40 minute drive.
Dogs allowed downstairs only in this property, at a charge of £50 per dog per week.
