This delightful early 19th century semi-detached cottage has been sensitively and stylishly renovated to retain its Cornish character and charm. With beamed ceilings and a wood burner in the sitting room, Pen Mor is a cosy and comfortable cottage throughout the year.
The entrance is through the conservatory into the kitchen, which overlooks the lovely rear garden and beautiful countryside aspect. A spacious kitchen/diner is equipped with electric cooker and hob, microwave, fridge, dishwasher, washing machine, and a pine table and chairs to seat four. A comfortable sitting room is furnished with two sofas, TV, DVD player and contemporary wood burner.
Stairs lead up from the sitting room to two bedrooms and the bathroom. The master bedroom has a super-king-sized bed (6') and views across the rolling Cornish countryside, and bedroom two is furnished with twin beds (3' each). The family bathroom is fitted with a shower cubicle, WC and basin.
A good sized lawned garden with trees and flowering shrubs and a picnic bench provides a fairly secluded outside space for al fresco eating, or simply sitting peacefully in the sun with a good book. Night storage heaters are fitted throughout the property in addition to the wood burner. There is a parking space for one car.
Just over a mile to the nearest beach, within an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, Chapel Porth (a National Trust managed beach) can be reached by car in less than five minutes, or a little under half an hour by foot. The picturesque village of St Agnes is a ten-minute walk from Pen Mor, where numerous independent village shops, traditional Cornish pubs and restaurants can be found. Many attractions and places of interest, including the cathedral city of Truro, maritime heritage of Falmouth, seafood cuisine of Padstow and art of St Ives are within a half hour drive, making Pen Mor an ideal base form which to explore Cornwall.
