Bayview Heights

Property Description

A modern and comfortable house set on a hillside, Bayview Heights overlooks Perranporth down to the beach and sea. The house has been designed to take full advantage of the views, with reverse level living so that the large open plan kitchen, dining and living area benefits from patio doors opening to a balcony which runs the whole width of the house.

Just a few of you? Discounted rates are available for small parties (four guests or fewer) on this property. Save 15% on your stay. Offer available outside of peak season only, terms and conditions apply.

Sitting on the comfy sofas, or out on the balcony, you can watch the ever-changing sea and sky while sipping a glass of wine or cooking and socialising with the rest of the family. Built to all modern specifications, the house is fully double glazed and centrally heated, making it a wonderful property to enjoy whatever the weather.

Entrance to the house is through the front door into a spacious hallway which leads onto the four downstairs bedrooms and family bathroom. Bedroom one is the master bedroom, furnished with a king size bed (5'), bedroom furniture, wall-mounted TV, space for a travel cot, and benefitting from an en-suite shower room with shower cubicle, WC and basin. Bedroom two has two single beds (3' each) which can zip and link together to make a king size bed if required (let us know when booking), bedroom furniture and a wall-mounted TV.

Enjoying French doors opening out to a wooden porch and steps to the rear patio and enclosed garden, bedroom three is furnished with a double bed (4'6"), wall-mounted TV, and a sideboard with board games and books. A built-in cupboard in the hallway provides hanging space for clothes. Bedroom four is equipped with bunk beds (3'), a built-in wardrobe and chest of drawers. The family bathroom is fitted with a shower over the bath, WC and basin.

Upstairs the fabulous open-plan living room with dining area and fully-equipped kitchen opens out onto the balcony with spectacular views out to both the sea and countryside. The living room is furnished with a large L-shaped black leather sofa and additional beanbag style seats, two comfortable armchairs, coffee table, 50-inch TV with DVD player, and a large glass dining table with eight chairs. The kitchen comprises an electric cooker with hob, microwave, fridge, freezer and a dishwasher. A washing machine is fitted in the utility room in which there is also a WC.

Outside, there is gravelled parking for two cars at the front of the house, and an enclosed garden laid with astro turf, and patio with garden table and chairs, to the rear. An outside tap is handy for washing the sand off after a day at the beach, and the veranda is a good place to hang wetsuits out to dry. Two clothes airers and a small fold up washing line are available to use if required. Please note that access to the garden is through bedroom three.

Bayview Heights is heated via independent wall mounted heaters in each room, with hot water operated by solar panels with an electric system. One or two small dogs will be considered outside of peak weeks. A travel cot and highchair are provided.

At the side of the house the main road leads down into Perranporth, which is only a couple of minutes driving or a 10-12 minute walk away. With its numerous small shops, bars, cafes and restaurants, it is a lively but small and friendly town, and offers everything from fish and chips and locally-made ice cream, to seaside shops with an array of buckets, spades and surf equipment for hire.

Perranporth beach is renowned for its three miles of golden sands, exposed when the tide is out and offering a huge area for holiday makers and locals alike to enjoy. Surfing is a popular pastime here, and inexperienced surfers are well catered for by several surf schools offering equipment hire and tuition. A tidal swimming pool is built into the rocks on the beach and there are a multitude of rockpools to discover. The South West Coast Path, with its stunning coastal views, leads south to St Agnes and north to Holywell Bay. Perranporth is also an ideal base for easily accessing most of Cornwall, including St. Ives, Newquay, Falmouth and the cathedral city of Truro.
