An outside tap is useful to wash off wetsuits and sandy feet after a day on the beach, and the house is then entered through an archway, and in through the kitchen French doors. Soft blue gloss units in the contemporary kitchen compliment the more traditional features of the room: a deep sink, natural slate floor and exposed brick walls.
The kitchen is fully equipped with large fridge/freezer, coffee machine, electric double oven and hob, microwave and a dishwasher. Two steps lead down to a cloakroom with WC and basin and at the far end of the room there are coat pegs and plenty of space for shoes.
A spacious dining room is furnished with a dining table and eight chairs, a sideboard and shelving unit. The slate floor extends into this room too and an armchair by the wood burner makes a cosy place to sit with a book.
A roomy corridor leads to the sitting room, beautifully furnished with a sumptuous 4-seater velvet sofa and matching armchair. An original fireplace, occasional tables, and a TV make this a stylish and welcoming room in which to relax. At the end of the corridor the front door opens to a fully enclosed gravelled outside space with large garden table and chairs for family lunches in the sun.
Upstairs, bedroom one is beautifully light and bright. Furnished with a double bed (4'6?), hanging rail and chest of drawers, the room has exposed wooden floorboards, beams and brickwork. A further four steps lead up to a large landing, bedrooms two and three and the shower room.
Bedroom two has twin beds (3' each) and bedroom three is furnished with a double bed (4'6?), hanging rail, chest of drawers and decorative fireplace. The shower room is fitted with a large cubicle with rain shower, slate wall tiles, WC, and a beautiful free standing counter top marble basin. A washing machine and tumble dryer are housed in a cupboard in this room.
Up a final flight of stairs to the top floor, the master bedroom with en suite is wonderfully spacious, enjoying high ceilings up to the roof, exposed floorboards, beams and a fantastic sense of space. A king-sized bed (5'), chair, triple wardrobe and chest of drawers provide ample storage. Wooden double doors open to reveal a roomy bathroom with WC, large counter top basin and a luxuriously deep freestanding black bath with overhead shower.
Heated by oil central heating, radiators are fitted throughout, to make the property warm and comfortable whatever the weather. Two well-behaved pets are welcome at Tregonnan.
Perranporth is a bustling village on Cornwall's north coast, an exceptionally beautiful part of the county, with dramatic scenery, rugged cliffs and a wide three mile long dog-friendly sandy beach. A short drive to the cathedral city of Truro, Newquay's numerous beaches, the art of St Ives and marine heritage of Falmouth, Tregonnan makes an ideal base from which to explore Cornwall.
Within the village there are surf schools, tennis courts, a bowling green, horse riding and a links golf course in the dunes. Perranporth has many cafes, restaurants and bars, and an independent high street, all within a two minute level walk of Tregonnan, as is the promenade, beach and sea.
