Dog friendly walks in Perranporth

13th February 2020

Dog friendly walks in and around Perranporth on the North Cornwall coast.

We asked Zoe, from Salty Sea Dogs to share her favourite dog friendly spots in Perranporth. From miles of sandy walks across the coast to secluded inland strolls and rambles through the Cornish countryside.

Deadmans Pool, Perranporth Beach. A curious crystal blue deep pool, fed with fresh water and secluded above the tideline.

Stop for a treat of Fillet Steak Doggy Ice Cream at The Pavilion situated on Beach Road.

Jericho Valley, Cross Coombe. A mystical meander along a shady, fern-lined path down through the valley to Blue Hills and the small pebbled beach.

St Piran’s Oratory, Penhale Sands. Hike your way across miles of open common land to discover the Lost Church, dating back a thousand years.

Try the vegan tacos at The Yard on the high street, while your woofer enjoys free dog treats.

Ellenglaze Common, Mount. A large and relatively enclosed common full of wild meadow flowers and numerous natural ponds.

Leycroft footpath to Mithian. Bound along the footpath covered with foxgloves and blackberries to open pasture. The path leads to the Mithian Arms, serving local ales, great food, and dog treats on the bar.
